The CapeLinks Travel Search searches net rate hotels, travel discounts, and vacation packages from all of the major travel portals on the internet.
The Basics of the CapeLinks Travel Search
The CapeLinks Travel Search only returns web pages that contain all the words in your query. So there is no need to use "+" or "and" -- all search terms are required by default.
For best results enter your destination using the complete spelling of the place. Like-- "denver colorado" - this will provide better results than a search for "denver co".
Remember to use the singular form of the keyword(s). Remember the web site you are looking for is likely to contain only the singular form of your keyword(s).
You can also use a wildcard like: ski* this will return results for ski, skis, and skiing.
Use words likely to appear on a website with the information you want. "luxury hotel Las Vegas" gets better results than "really nice places to spend the night in Las Vegas".
Refining or narrowing your search is as simple as adding more words to the search terms you have already entered.
Broadening your search is as simple as removing some words from your search query.
Automatic "and" Queries
By default, CapeLinks only returns pages that include all of your search terms. There is no need to include "and" between terms. Keep in mind that the order in which the terms are typed will affect the search results. To restrict a search further, just include more terms.
Capitalization
CapeLinks searches are NOT case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for "las vegas hotel", "Las Vegas Hotel", and "lAs VeGaS hOtEl" will all return the same results.
Expand your search using wildcards (*):
By typing an * at the end of a keyword, you can search for
the word with multiple endings.
Example: Try wish*, to find wish, wishes, wishful, wishbone, and
wishy-washy.
Check Your Spelling
If you are having trouble - getting no search matches at all, check your spelling and broaden your search by removing words from your query. The CapeLinks Travel Search only returns web pages that contain all the words in your query so one misspelled word in a search query can cause "no results found".
Searching for a Web Address
To see if your site is in our index or to search for a specific website, enter the URL or web address into the search box. Example: http://www.website.com
